Mid-Week Crisis?

It’s like a mini mid-life crisis every single week – you have started out enthusiastically on Monday with the best intentions of working out every day, and suddenly it is Wednesday and you haven’t actually gotten out there yet so you feel miserable and a loser. Or something like that :-) It’s called the mid-week crisis. And you are not alone.

I read a great quote on Twitter this morning – “If your ship doesn’t come in, swim out to it.” (Jonathan Winters). That’s what I call a double whammy – you get your fortune, and you get your exercise at the same time! And who would not want to have some money and be fit enough to enjoy it.

Personally – I don’t need to live till I am 100, as long as I live a happy, active life. My concern is that living to 100 will only prolong the years of deterioriation rather then the years of health. If I could take the middle part of my life and lengthen that, that would be fine but the only way I see that happening is if I invest in myself now. So come rain or shine, I will be out there on my bike today – peddling nice and easy, getting some fresh air into those lungs, and getting my heart pumping. And I will look around me and enjoy all the world has to offer.

Have a wonderful day today!
