Your Goals & You

One of the most important things you can do if you want to start enjoying exercise – is to take a long hard look in the mirror. Without knowing what you look like, what your specific make-up is, you will not be able to work towards a realistic goal. And without knowing where you are starting from, how will you determine when you finally get to where you wanted to go?

So take a look, specifically at the following – always remembering that none of them are good or bad, but it is about knowing!; Do you have broad wrists, wide knees, thicker ankles – then your skeleton will be less likely to melt down into a waif of a girl, or rake of a guy. Are you narrow hipped, and broad shouldered? Then you can work those muscles and tone into a V-shape more easily then if you see something different. Be realistic about your goals, or you will only be disappointed and give up. So check out your body build.

The second question to ponder is to find out what you enjoy doing. Go back to your childhood – were you one of those kids that were always bouncing around with a ball, or did you prefer skipping rope and running around on the playground? Did you enjoy climbing things, or did you just like to lay on the grass and dream about who-knows-what? This is about YOU, and looking at what you enjoy will help you find a sport that you will like. That in turn means you will keep it going, simply because it’ll be fun to do. Doing things that you hate, will never last.

great blog, but what ever you do, it requires a lot of dedication and perseverence to get to the finish line, if you neglected your body for long dont expect immediate results, but it will be sweet when you passed the finish line
