Spa Secrets
Nov1
I visited a Spa today (and yes, called it work of course as I happened to be there for a meeting) that was so gorgeous, and in such lovely surroundings that I feel as if I have to rub my eyes and look again – which means, oddly enough, visiting another time – to make sure I wasn’t dreaming.
The Healing Arts Center & Spa, is located at Cavallo Point in Sausalito, just north of San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge. Cavallo Point used to be an army barracks but some inventive soul has taken this spot and turned these somber type barracks into hotel and Michelin star restaurant, of course complete with Spa.
Just looking at the pictures of the Spa and the treatments they offer is enough to make you melt away and imagine a new you. Let alone of course receiving the actual treatments themselves. For instance, you can do an Organic Massage, or go for the Cavallo Eco Facial. Or go for my favourite item on the list and have a complete sensation with the Body Wave, a session that incorporates constant motion and contact, through stretching, mobilisation and massage.
Whilst I usually feel that Spas are wonderful to a large degree because they mean you take a day off Blackberries, laptops, meetings and all the humdrum of daily life…this Spa falls into the category of working on a better you rather then only a more relaxed you.
To give yourself a mini-treatment right there on your seat in front of the computer – go here and just look at the pictures…
